Beginnings! - An opportunity to gain a lifetime of benefits and enjoyment for your whole family. Children are innately drawn to music. And why shouldn’t they be? They have been listening to the rhythm and melody of their mother’s voice since the fourth month after conception. Click below on our brochure to learn how Beginnings music and movement classes nourish the WHOLE child - - - - mind, body and spirit - - - - and help children grow and develop into a successful students.

Beginnings! offers age-appropriate music classes for children from birth through age 8. All of our teachers have degrees in education, music or music education and have been with the program for a minimum of 8 years. We offer a combination of the Kindermusik and the Musikgarten curricula for those of you familiar with those names. Beginnings! is now part of The Iowa Youth Chorus, which started its 26th year as Iowa's premier youth choral organization in September, 2007. The Iowa Youth Chorus is home to about 400 singers from across Central Iowa and range in age from 6 to 18. They meet at one of six locations for weekly rehearsals.
